GA Telesis Engine Services gains FAA approval to expand operations with limited airframe capabilities

GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES SPAH) - a joint venture between GA Telesis and Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) - has received approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to add limited airframe capabilities to its operations specifications.

In addition to the limited airframe approval, the FAA has also authorised the company to perform borescope inspections and engine changes on all 767 aircraft, including those with both GE and Pratt & Whitney PW4000 jet engines.

GA Telesis president digital innovation group Jason Reed described the expansion of the company’s capabilities as aligning with its mission to provide “innovative and integrated solutions” that “maximise the value” of its assets.

The newly added services are also expected to reduce turnaround times for the company’s customers.
