GA Telesis Engine Services has signed a MRO [maintenance, repair, overhaul] contract with Philippines AirAsia for the CFM56-5B engine powering its 15 A320-200 aircraft.
The work will be carried out at the US-headquartered GA Telesis' "state-of-the-art facility in Helsinki, Finland", the awardee announced.
"We are thrilled to have been awarded this important contract by one of the most respected airlines in the Philippines," said Avinash Singh, senior sales & business development director for GA Telesis Engine Services.
"This is a testament to our reputation for delivering high-quality, reliable engine MRO services, and we look forward to partnering with the airline to help them maintain safety and efficiency of their fleet," Singh said.
GE Telesis said it had separately been granted certification by the Philippine aviation regulator for its Helsinki MRO shop.
