FlySafair is all set to ramp up its regional operations after receiving approval to operate three regional routes. The South-Africa based airline is set to expand its regional route network with planned flights from Johannesburg and Cape town to Nambian capital Windhoek, Harare and Zanzibar.

"We're thrilled to have received this news," said Kirby Gordon, chief marketing officer at FlySafair. "We've already begun laying the groundwork in several of our target countries and are in discussions with various parties including civil aviation authorities to get these new routes up and running as soon as possible."

The airline recently received permission to fly commercial flights to the three destinations from the International Air Services Council, the airline said. Meanwhile the airline also received permission to operate five additional flights to Mauritius, which might lead up to daily flights.

The airline has undergone a period of rapid growth over the past 10 months, adding a number of new aircraft to its operating fleet and hiring many new staff members to accommodate this expansion. The airline is also planning to add three aircraft to its fleet by March 2023 to operate on the new routes.
