flynas recently took delivery of its latest Airbus A320neo. This is the first of 19 A320neos, the airline expects the rest to join the fleet in 2023. The new Airbus A320neo, arrived in Riyadh on February 15, 2023 after a delivery flight from Toulouse Blagnac Airport (TLS).
Since its arrival, the aircraft has flown on short-haul routes with the majority between Riyadh and Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED).
The addition of the latest A320neo is a part of fleet and expansion strategy of the airline that aims to double its current capacity of 70 destinations to reach over 165 domestic and international destinations.
The airline said in a statement that its board of directors has agreed to increase the new aircraft orders to 250, making it the largest low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa.
The current fleet of flynas comprises of 44 aircraft, which includes 13 Airbus A320-200, 29 A320-200neos and two A330-300s. The airline also has three A320-200s on wet lease from Avion Express Malta.
