FLYT Aerospace Solutions has received STC certification from Transport Canada for the flange version of its AFIRS Edge, the company’s 5G wireless data and communications device on June 11, 2024.
This is the first 5G wireless data and communications device for A320 and 737 NG aircraft. This has enabled the company to ship Edge units to Canadian 737 NG customers and facilitates the integration of the Canadian STC into other jurisdictions for worldwide distribution.
The product allows for real time data reporting and onboard data storage as well as actionable intelligence services including fuel management and aircraft health monitoring
