FLIGHTS CANCELLED AHEAD OF SNOW STORM

As the snow falls in Newark, Continental Airlines has announced the cancellation of 485 flights scheduled for today, most of them in or out of its Newark hub. In all, the snow storm has led Continental to cancel more than 700 flights system wide, including 244 yesterday. The majority of the airline’s flights originate, terminate or connect at Continental’s hub at Newark Liberty International Airport.

United has cancelled 142 flights system wide scheduled for today, while American Airlines has cancelled about 500 flights.
