A Delta Air Lines flight was forced to return to Tucson shortly after take-off on April 14, 2025.
The 737-900 aircraft had just begun a three-hour service between Arizona and Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson airport when the crew reported an engine issue.
The flight landed safely back in Tucson around 40 minutes after originally departing, according to data from Flightradar24.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will investigate.
