The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a detailed, 90-day inspection of Allegiant Air's operations in response to "various internal issues" tied to maintenance and safety.
Allegiant’s regular comprehensive review was not due for another two years but it has been moved up to ensure the airline has remedied problems in operations, according to the FAA.
The review began about April 1 and continues throughout June.
