Eviation Aircraft’s order book for the nine-seater Alice airplane recently passed a total value of $2bn. Just recently Eviation conducted the first successful test flight of Alice aircraft and since then, Eviation is focussed on its certification to pave the way for entry-into-service.
Gregory Davis, President, and CEO of Eviation, said: “Our order book passing the $2 bn mark is a significant commercial milestone. This success demonstrates that Alice is leading the industry and meeting the market demand for zero-carbon flights. We are already seeing a growing clamor from passengers for sustainable aviation, matched by an increasingly robust attitude from regulators. By ordering the Alice, our forward-thinking customers are positioning themselves wisely for the future."
According to Eviation, Alice is built from a clean-sheet design around all-electric propulsion, produces no carbon emissions, and costs significantly less to operate per flight hour compared to light jets or high-end turboprops.
Eddie Jaisaree, Vice President, Commercial Sales at Eviation said: “With almost 300 aircraft now on order, the Alice is receiving strong customer endorsement. The aircraft is capturing the hearts and minds of the marketplace with its beautiful design, low operating costs, and carbon zero footprints,"
So far, the regional airlines in the US like the Cape Air and Global Crossing and German operator EVIA AERO have booked orders for Alice.
