Etihad to deploy A380 on flights to Tokyo for summer 2026

Etihad Airways has announced that it will operate its A380 aircraft to Tokyo starting in summer 2026.

On June 16, 2026, the double-decker widebody will begin flying between Zayed Abu Dhabi International (AUH) and Narita International (NRT).

Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer at Etihad Airways, said the move reflects greater demand for travel to Japan and high customer satisfaction with the aircraft type.

"Our guests consistently tell us they love the onboard experience,” he said. “The aircraft is particularly well-suited to this route, given the importance of business travel between the UAE and Japan, two nations with deep economic and cultural ties.”

Tokyo joins Etihad's A380 network alongside London, Paris, Toronto, and Singapore.
