Etihad publishes strong traffic results for August

Etihad Airways carried 1.7 million passengers during the month of August, marking a 30.7% increase compared to the same period last year. The airline also achieved an average passenger load factor of 89% throughout the month.

Compared to August 2023, Etihad has expanded its fleet by 16 aircraft and added ten new destinations to its network.

“Our passenger numbers in August increased significantly compared to the same period last year, demonstrating our continued growth momentum,” said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways.

Neves continued: “We maintained a healthy passenger load factor of 89% for August 2024, even as we expanded our capacity compared to 2023. This robust performance, particularly during the holiday period, underscores the growing preference for Etihad among travellers.”

Etihad also introduced the final two of its six new Airbus A321neo aircraft into operation during the month, further boosting its capacity.
