Etihad Airways has launched two new routes into Southeast Asia, the airline said on Monday (October 6).
The airline launched flights from Abu Dhabi to Medan in Sumatra, Indonesia, on October 2, and to Phnom Penh, Cambodia the following day.
“We’re proud to expand our network in Southeast Asia, inviting more guests across the region to explore our home with a convenient and direct route to Abu Dhabi, creating new connections for commerce and tourism between Abu Dhabi and the region,” said Etihad Airways CEO Antonoaldo Neves.
Etihad will operate three return flights per week to Medan and four weekly return flights to Phnom Penh. Both routes will be serviced by the airline's new A321LR aircraft.
The airline has now launched nine new routes so far this year, with 21 additional routes set to launch as part of the company's global expansion plan.
