The French National Civil Aviation School (ENAC) has placed a firm order for 30 training aircraft with French manufacturer Elixir Aircraft, replacing its current fleet of Visual Flight Rules (VFR) aircraft.
Founded in 2015, Elixir obtained European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification for its 100-horsepower two-seater aircraft in 2020. Since then, 35 aircraft from the company's La Rochelle factory have been delivered. There are currently 300 aircraft on its order book.
"We are very proud to integrate the Elixir into the fleet of ENAC,” said Arthur Léopold-Léger, co-founder and president of Elixir Aircraft. “This contract is the reward for ten years of work in the design, certification, and industrialisation of our aircraft. We look forward to meeting the first ENAC pilots trained on the Elixir in a few years,”
These 30 planes will be delivered to ENAC between 2026 and 2027, replacing ENACs current fleet of aircraft.
