Embraer invests $70 million into new MRO facilities in the US

Embraer is set to open a new service centre at the Perot Field Alliance Airport, in Fort Worth, Texas.

This will allow for the manufacturer to expanded and increase investment into its maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services network in the US, in order to support its growing E-Jet fleet.

The new facilities will allow Embraer to increase capacity by 53% in the US to serve its E-Jet customers. The investment will reach up to $70 million and is expected to create 250 new aviation jobs in Texas.

“We are excited to receive the final approval for this important expansion of our MRO business that supports our continued investment in the US market,” said Carlos Naufel, president and CEO Embraer services and support.

He continued: “We have a long-standing relationship with the State of Texas and look forward to our partnership with Hillwood at Alliance, and the opening of this new service centre will create hundreds of highly skilled jobs in a vital segment for the aviation industry.”

The new Fort Worth service centre will be added to Embraer’s global network, which includes 80 authorized centres and 12 owned service centres around the world.

Embraer also expects to begin operations in an existing hangar in the beginning of the second quarter of 2025, while building a second hangar that should be concluded by 2027.
