Embraer delivered 61 aircraft in the second quarter of the year across all of its business units, up 30% compared to the same period last year. In addition, it more than doubles from the 30 aircraft delivered in the first quarter of this year.
The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer reported a $29.7bn backlog. In addition, the company's commercial aviation segment recorded a backlog of $13.1bn, increasing 31% compared to the previous quarter and marking an eight year record. This comes from the company securing firm order for 60 E175 jets from SkyWest, with 50 options, and SAS agreeing to purchase 45 E195-E2 jets, including 10 options.
Embraer's commercial segment delivered 19 new aircraft during the quarter, and totalled 26 deliveries for the first half of the year. This includes five E175s to Republic Airways, two to SkyWest, and two to Horizon Air; three E195-E2s to AerCap, two to Azorra, one to Mexicana, one to Royal Jordania, one to Binter, and one to ICBC.
“We expect our production levelling efforts to produce more tangible results in the second half of the year, and from the start of 2026,” Embraer read in a statement.
