Embraer ends first quarter with $26.4bn backlog

Embraer ended the first quarter of the year with a backlog totalling $26.4bn, surpassing a backlog of $26.3bn which was reached in the last quarter of 2024.

During the first quarter of the year Embraer delivered a total of 30 aircraft, up from 25 aircraft deliveries that were recorded during the first three-month period of the year prior.

The manufacturer said that deliveries in the past quarter made up 13% of its full-year target of 231 aircraft - the midpoint of its 2025 guidance of 222 to 240 aircraft - for both its Executive and Commercial Aviation divisions.

Embraer said this figure is higher than a five-year average of 11% for the same period.

In the company’s Commercial Aviation arm, total backlog was $10bn, 2% lower than the previous quarter. Embraer delivered seven commercial aircraft, representing 9% of a full-year target of 81 aircraft - the midpoint of the company’s guidance range of 77 to 85 jets.

The division’s performance was slightly below the five-year first-quarter average of 12%, as Embraer cited ongoing supply chain issues. Embraer noted that it was unable to deliver two additional aircraft during the quarter because of “commercial issues”.

Looking at the manufacturer’s Executive Aviation division, it recorded a backlog of $7.6bn. The business unit delivered 23 jets in the first quarter, including 14 light jets and nine midsize jets.

This marks a 28% increase compared to the 18 jets delivered in the first quarter of the year prior.
