Brazil's Embraer delivered 80 aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2022 and 159 throughout the year.

Of the 80, "30 were commercial jets and 50 were executive jets, 33 light and 17 mid-size," the manufacturer said.

The 159 deliveries during the year were made up of 57 commercial jets and 102 executive jets, Embraer said, an increase of 12.7% compared with 2021 and leaving it with a production backlog worth $17.5bn as the year ended.

Embraer re-stated that it received a $1.17bn order to supply 15 new E195-E2 aircraft to an undisclosed customer, as well as an order for five E195-E2 from Binter.

"Another milestone was the certification of the E190-E2 in China, as well as the certification of the E-Jets E2 (E195-E2 and E190-E2) in Canada," Embraer added, reminding that in December, Canada's Porter Airlines took delivery of five E195-E2s as part of an order for 50 of the aircraft.

Embraer signed two contracts for heavy maintenance services with Envoy Air  and with JSX, while TUI has signed a contract for the pool programme to support the E195-E2 jet fleet, while lessor NAC agreed a "firm contract for up to 10 new E190F/E195F cargo aircraft conversions".
