Embraer has strengthened its corporate team in Europe, Middle East and Africa with the appointment of Guy Douglas as Director of Corporate Communications EMEA. Douglas will report to Jorge Ramos, Embraer’s President EMEA, and in matrix to Saulo Passos, Global Head of Marketing and Communications. He will cover the region from the Embraer EMEA headquarters in Amsterdam.
Jorge Ramos said, “With our progress in new product programmes, such as the second generation of the E-Jets family of commercial aircraft and the KC-390 medium lift jet, both of which had their Farnborough debuts in July, we welcome Guy to the team at a pivotal time for Embraer. Guy will cover external corporate relations for our company in the EMEA region, working across all Embraer business lines, supporting commercial aviation, executive jets, and defence and security.”
Douglas has 15 years of experience in the global aviation market and has previously worked for companies such as Thales and BAE Systems in communications roles covering UK, EMEA, India and Japan. Douglas began his career on the agency side working for an Omnicom company specialising in technology clients.
