Light aircraft manufacturer Elixir Aircraft has announced the opening of two new production and assembly facilities, alongside a third French production site dedicated to composite production parts.
The first US site (situated at Sarasota Bradenton Airport in Florida) will focus on the reassembly of aircraft intended for delivery to US clients. The manufacturer notes that demand in this region is ‘substantial,’ with over 200 units already pre-ordered.
A new 10,700 square foot production facility in La Rochelle, France (close to Elixir’s main site at La Rochelle airport) will also help to ‘speed up production of aircraft on order’, with over 200 firm or pre-orders already recorded by the manufacturer. This facility is being financed by the recent fundraising of €40 million ($42.6 million).
