AWAS has entered into an agreement to lease a Boeing 767-300ER to Israeli airline EL AL. Beginning service in 1948, EL AL was recently recognized by IATA as one of the world’s top three most efficient airlines.
“This 767-300ER aircraft that we are receiving from AWAS will help us to provide our customers with even more reliable and comfortable international service,” remarked Elyezer Shkedy, CEO of EL AL. “We are pleased with this inaugural agreement with AWAS, their team listened to us and provided accelerated access to an aircraft that met our business needs. With the introduction of this 767-300ER into our fleet, it will assist us to further improve our cost base, and maximize operational efficiencies.”
