EL AI takes delivery of its 16th B787 with 30% SAF blend

El Al Airlines has taken delivery of its 16th Boeing 787 aircraft with the delivery flight being powered by Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), marking the airline’s first use of SAF.

The B787 aircraft that was delivered is the smallest variant of the Dreamliner family. The new aircraft with the registration 4X-ERD and arrived in Tel Aviv Ben Gurion International Airport (TLV) on the morning of July 31, from Boeing's Everett facility in Seattle.

The twelve-hour delivery flight was operated using 30% SAF thus highlighting the airline’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting sustainability.
