Edelweiss expands network with two new long haul routes
Swiss leisure airline Edelweiss is set to add two new destinations to its long-haul network. The airline will fly to Halifax and Seattle from summer 2025 with two weekly flights to both destinations from Edelweiss’ hub at Zurich. “The non-stop flight to Halifax provides our guests with a convenient starting point for exploring Atlantic Canada, an exciting travel destination,” says Bernd Bauer, CEO of Edelweiss. “This route ideally complements our popular flights to Calgary and Vancouver in Western Canada.” Along with these two new routes next year, Edelweiss is expected to take delivery of six A350 aircraft with deliveries expected top commence from April 2025. The new routes will be served by the airline's A340 aircraft.
