easyJet announces new route to Montenegro; set to break holiday record

easyJet will operate a new route to Tivat in Montenegro  next summer from Manchester Airport. Montenegro will become easyJet’s 32nd country in its network and the 45th destination available from Manchester Airport. The new connection is the only one offered to Tivat by any UK airline outside of London.

On sale today, the airline is expected to fly 15,000 passengers a year to and from Tivat throughout the summer, operating twice a week with flights commencing on 27th March 2016.

Meanwhile, easyJet is predicting Friday December 18, 2015 to be the busiest Christmas getaway day in the airline’s history when more than 204,000 passengers will fly on over 1300 flights across the network. A record 2.5m passengers will fly with the airline between 17th December and 4th January with customers travelling early to avoid the last minute Christmas Eve rush.

In the UK alone, 115,000 passengers are set to fly to or from easyJet’s UK airports on Friday toppling the record for the most passengers travelling with the airline on one day during Christmas. From Friday until Christmas Eve, 135,000 passengers will travel domestically across UK as they travel home to spend Christmas with their families.
