dnata's Airport Handling has launched operations at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport.
The company has secured a seven-year ground handling license, committing an investment of more than €20 million ($20.8 million) in infrastructure and equipment at the Italian airport.
Alberto Morosi, CEO of Airport Handling, said that this new contract will nearly double the company’s operations within Italy. Airport Handling currently operates at two Milan airports, Malpensa and Linate.
The company will support nearly 70,000 flights annually for 22 airline customers at Fiumicino.
