Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has agreed to lease 13 new Boeing 737-8 aircraft to Royal Air Maroc as part of the carrier’s fleet expansion programme.
The aircraft are scheduled to be delivered in 2027 under long-term leases. The agreement follows an earlier transaction under which DAE leased two 737-8s to the Moroccan flag carrier, delivered in 2025.
DAE said the deal supports Royal Air Maroc’s growth strategy as Morocco expands its role as a tourism and business hub and as the airline increases connectivity between Africa, Europe and other international markets.
Royal Air Maroc said the aircraft will strengthen its network development capability by supporting new route launches and frequency growth, while improving operational efficiency. The carrier added that the narrowbodies will enhance fleet flexibility as it responds to rising demand across its short- and medium-haul network.
DAE chief executive Firoz Tarapore said the lessor was pleased to partner with Royal Air Maroc on a significant fleet expansion project and to support the airline’s future fleet requirements.
DAE currently owns, manages or has commitments to own or manage around 750 aircraft, including 237 Boeing aircraft, and said it plans to continue expanding its portfolio in response to market demand.
