Chinese lessor ICBC Aviation Leasing has signed a MOU with a Japanese leasing firm to develop a strategic alliance to offer JOL and JOLCO financing products to airlines globally.
ICBC Aviation Leasing will work with the Japanese partner on JOLCO financing of ICBC Aviation Leasing’s aircraft and the purchase of operating leased aircraft from the ICBC Aviation Leasing portfolio.
“As a major player in the aircraft investment and JOLCO market, our partner has developed a strong relationship with us by providing JOLCO financing on some of our aircraft. We now intend to expand our cooperation to jointly offer JOL/ JOLCO products directly to airlines by leveraging the ICBC Aviation Leasing sales network and their Japanese investor network,” said Li Qiang, CEO of ICBC Aviation Leasing.
Elsewhere, ICBC Aviation Leasing and GA Telesis (GAT) have signed a MOU to agree on building a marketing alliance in assisting airlines in their fleet renewal activities by trading out of mature or end of life aircraft and in providing spare engine financing and leasing solutions.
