Alaska Airlines leads on-time performance among North American carriers, followed by Delta Air Lines and American Airlines, as per Cirium data. This is the second consecutive month that Alaska Airlines has ranked first in on-time performance. In July, Alaska Airlines operated 36,960 flights with an on-time arrival rate of 82.03%.
Delta operated 146,241 flights, with 78.55% on time arrivals followed by American Airlines operating over 178,000 flights, with 73% on-time arrival. Ranking fourth was United Airlines with scheduled 134,457 flights, of which over 70% arrived as expected. In fifth place was Southwest Airlines (WN), with scheduled 130,000 flights across the continent, where 66% arrived on time.
Among the low-cost carriers, Spirit operated 24,614 with 63.70% on-time arrivals while Frontier operated 16,614 flights with 57% punctuality rate.
In Canada, WestJet led the on-time arrivals with 17,405 flights where 61.88% arrived as scheduled while Air Canada operated 36,017 with 51.25% of them arriving on time in July.
