In November, China Southern Airlines carried 12.8 million passengers, an increase of 9.6% in comparison to the same month of the year prior.
The Guangzhou based airline carried 11.1 million domestic passengers in November, alongside 1.5 million passengers on international routes. This is in addition to 137,000 passengers on regional flights.
All flight sectors experienced an increase in passenger numbers during the month, when compared to figures from November 2023. The airline recorded a 5.3% increase in domestic passengers, a 59.1% increase in international passenger numbers, and a slight 0.4% rise on regional routes.
Revenue passenger kilometres (RPK) increased by 15.7% in November, alongside a 7.2% increase in available passenger kilometres (ASK), when looking at the comparable month of 2023. Load factor averaged at 84.8% during November, up by 5.9 percentage points when compared to last year.
Looking at the first 11 months of the year, the airline carried 151.8 million passengers, an overall increase of 16.71% in comparison to the same period of the year prior.
