Cebu Pacific is planning to start 13 new flights to domestic and international destinations from Clark International Airport as a part of its expansion program. Out of the 10 new A320neo deliveries expected this year, the airline will base three aircraft at the Clark Airport.
The eight domestic destinations, as part of Cebu's expansion plan out of Clark, include Caticlan, Davao, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, General Santos, Cagayan de Oro, and Puerto Princesa while the five international destinations include Hong Kong, Bangkok, Singapore, Narita, and Macao.
Commenting on the recent expansion plans, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer said: “We are excited to re-establish our presence in such an important gateway that will boost accessibility and connectivity for the traveling public. Furthermore, it allows us to boost our third operating hub in the Philippines that will help generate economic opportunities to support the country’s growth agenda.”
As per the Department of Transportation (DOTr) the increased connectivity from Clark will also help develop the station as a premiere hub for aviation and international logistics in the Asia-Pacific region.
The airline is also strengthening its Cebu hub by adding three routes. From March 26, Cebu Pacific will begin flying from Cebu to Naga four times weekly, making it the only carrier to operate flights directly between the two destinations.
The airline will also resume the Cebu-Hong Kong route from March 26, 2023 and Cebu-Narita seven times weekly route from May 1, 2023. With these additional routes, Cebu Pacific will have direct flights to 23 domestic and four international destinations from Cebu.
