Speaking at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) event in Doha, Basma al-Majali, acting vice president of Royal Jordanian Airlines, has commented that the airline will receive a cash injection of 100 million dinars ($141 million) this year. The airline has been adversely affected by the unrest in the Middle East and the funds will help it to carrier recover from those operational losses.
Royal Jordanian stopped flying over Syrian airspace for security reasons last year, which has affected its Beirut route.
