Caerdav delivers A320 to Avolon following first transition check under new partnership

UK-based MRO provider Caerdav has delivered one Airbus A320 aircraft to Avolon following the completion of its first transition check under a new partnership with the lessor.

The aircraft, which previously flew in Asia, underwent a full boroscope inspection, a comprehensive airframe maintenance check, and a scheduled replacement of engine number two, Caerdav said.

The work was carried out in preparation for the aircraft to re-enter service with Volotea, a low-cost carrier based in Barcelona.

The delivery of the aircraft marks the completion of Caerdav’s first transition check for Avolon following the signing of a general maintenance agreement between the two companies.

Caerdav said its St. Athan location in South Wales provides a convenient and accessible MRO facility for Avolon’s 1,000-plus aircraft portfolio.

Specialising in Boeing 737 and Airbus A320, Caerdav provides end of lease, entry into service, and redelivery checks, in addition to aircraft transitions, as and when required.

Avolon provides more than 140 airlines and operators worldwide with access to a large fleet of “young, modern, fuel-efficient aircraft”.
