Brussels Airlines is set to grow its long-haul fleet by adding three A330 aircraft.

The Belgian flag carrier is expected to use the extra long-haul capacity to reinforce its sub-Saharan African network.

He continued: “Brussels Airlines is the perfect airline to do just that as its expertise and presence on the continent is unparalleled. This is unique and makes us confident about the success of this expansion project.”

In addition to the three A330 aircraft joining the fleet, the airline has also signed a three-year wet-lease agreement starting in 2025 with airBaltic. The Latvian carrier will seasonally operate four A220s for Brussels Airlines between the end of March and October.

Along with its fleet expansion, the airline is also set to invest more than €100 million in upgrading it fleets cabin interiors.
