It's being reported that Turkish Airlines is looking for compensation from Boeing for losses over the grounding of 12 737 MAX aircraft.
The report suggests that the airline's chairman Ilker Ayci has said he plans to meet Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg on Friday.
"There are undoubtedly steps that we expect them to take... to resolve our losses, capacity issues we are experiencing and frequency problems to a certain extent," Ayci said, according to the Anadolu news agency.
Turkish Airlines grounded all Boeing 737 Max flights on March 13, following the fatal crash of Ethiopian Airlines flight ET 302, which crashed shortly after take-off on the morning of March 10 from Addis Ababa airport killing all 149 passengers and eight crew members.
Since then, a worldwide grounding of all 737 Max jets has commenced with no word on when the aircraft is set to fly again.
This news follows the report that China Eastern Airlines has filed a claim with Boeing over losses incurred from the grounding of its Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft.
