Boeing plans to boost Dreamliner & MAX production

Boeing plans to increase production of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 737 MAX as the supply chain problems start to ease leaving behind the pandemic woes. The Renton plant in Washington aims at increase in narrowbody production, while the North Charleston plant in South Carolina will see an increase in widebody Dreamliner production.

Boeing aims to produce at least 50 MAX variants per month by 2025 and is confident in the coordinated supply chain's ability to deliver on this goal.

The Renton plant has planned to expand from a usual output of 31 MAX per month to 38 and increase of 84 aircraft per year while the South Carolina facility is planning to produce three or four aircraft per month.

The latest move comes on the backdrop of Boeing’s goal of churning out at least 50 MAX variants per month by 2025.

The company is also planning to commence its Everett production plant for B777X towards the start of 2024.
