British Midland International (bmi) has announced it will codeshare with Croatia Airlines on its services between the UK and Croatia.
bmi has added its BD code to Croatia Airlines routes to Zagreb from London Heathrow and London Gatwick, while Croatia Airlines has added its OU code to selected bmi routes.
The UK airline’s Diamond Club members will be able to earn and redeem destination miles on all the flights operated by Croatia Airlines.
Joerg Hennemann, chief commercial cfficer of bmi said: “This reciprocal codeshare agreement brings major benefits for bmi customers wanting to fly to Croatia, as well as Croatian AIrlines customers using bmi’s domestic services out of London Heathrow. We are delighted to be working with Croatian Airlines as we further expand bmi’s global connectivity.”
Bojan Aljinovic, director network and revenue management, Croatia Airlines, said: “Croatia Airlines is pleased to add new codeshare partner bmi. This partnership will offer the customers of both carriers seamless connectivity between Croatia and UK, as well as other customer benefits. Codeshare cooperation is planned to increase gradually on other routes as well, expanding Croatia Airlines global connectivity within Star Alliance.”
