Beond will launch its all-business class flight from Bangkok to Male, Maldives. The inaugural flight will be scheduled for July 2024 with its A319 aircraft, which features all 44 seats as lay-flat configuration.
The airline lauds itself as the “world’s first premium leisure airline.” The airline began operations in November 2023 with Maldives as its first hub, with flights from Munich, Zurich and Riyadh all featuring its A319 aircraft. Other routes include Milan and Dubai.
Beond CCO Sascha Feuerherd said: “Our travel agent partners in Thailand are strong supporters of the Beond premium offer, and so we believe the Beond experience will resonate with customers. We anticipate this will be our first origin city in Asia.”
Beond aims to expand its fleet to 32 aircraft and serve 60 destinations within the next five years.
