Bamboo Airways has launched its second nonstop flight route to Gatwick from Ho Chi Minh City as a part of the airlines' expansion plan to Europe.
This nonstop flight route as made a crucial contribution to bridging the Vietnamese community in the UK and their families and friends as well as creating more opportunities for British to welcome Vietnamese and international tourists, particularly on this Christmas and New Year's Eve, the airline said.
Apart from Europe, Bamboo Airways also launches its first service to China between Hanoi and Tianjin City just as Chinese authorities are gradually relaxing the COVID-19 quarantine norms. Following Bamboo Airways, the Vietnam Airlines is also planning to tap into the Chinese market, one of Vietnam's largest pre-pandemic tourism markets. Vietnam Airlines is planning one weekly flight each from Ho Chi Minh City to Guangzhou and Shanghai and from Hanoi to Shanghai.
Besides, Bamboo Airways ranked first among domestic airlines in on-time performance in November 2022 with a rate of 96.9%, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).
