Bamboo Airways launches new cargo subsidiary

Bamboo Airways is all set to launch a new cargo carrier called Bamboo Airways Cargo (BAC) to develop a larger network of affiliates in Vietnam’s sparse aviation ecosystem.

The airline appointed Doan Huu Doan, Executive Vice Chairman and Executive Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways, as Chairman of BAC; Nguyen Khac Hai, Deputy General Director of Bamboo Airways, as CEO of BAC; and Dang Van Vien as Managing Director of BAC.

Hanoi-based Bamboo Airways Joint Stock Company (BAC) is launching with a charter capital of $833,000, some 75% of which has been contributed by Bamboo Airways, the airline said in a statement.

The remainder belongs to three other individual shareholders. Bamboo Airways has an extensive presence in Vietnam operational on 21 out of 22 airports and all major airports across Asia-Pacific and Europe.
