British Airways could be about to double its operations at Gatwick Airport, according to The Telegraph.
The London newspaper on Sunday reported that the International Airlines Group (IAG)-owned carrier "is understood" to be planning to up the number of aircraft stationed at Gatwick from 14 to 24-28 "in the coming years".
The expansion would come after a summer of discontent at Heathrow Airport, which capped summer passenger numbers and has sought to add £12 to its £30 landing charge, provoking criticism from IAG.
British Airways had earlier cut back on offerings from Gatwick after travel and related restrictions were imposed in early 2020 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
