Azorra delivers Mongolia’s first Embraer E195-E2 to Hunnu Air

Azorra has delivered the first of two new Embraer E195-E2s to Mongolian carrier Hunnu Air, a new partnership for the lessor and the first E2 aircraft to operate in Mongolia.

This follows type acceptance certification granted by the Mongolian Civil Aviation Authority (MCAA) for Embraer’s E190-E2 and E195-E2 aircraft on April 16, 2025 - a move that allows the E2 family’s entry into Mongolia’s aviation market.

“We’ve been an E190-E1 operator since 2019 and the E195-E2 is the perfect extension as we meet growing demand for air travel across Mongolia,” said Munkhjargal Purevjal, CEO, Hunnu Air.

Purevjal added that new aircraft will allow the airline to increase capacity to Haikou, Sanya, and Phu Quoc, expand services to Japan, China, Vietnam, India and South Korea, while introducing scheduled flights to Tashkent.

John Evans, CEO and founder of Azorra, noted that this is both a significant step in the growth of Hunnu Air and the future of aviation in Mongolia.

This new E195-E2 aircraft was delivered directly from Azorra’s firm orderbook with Embraer.
