Nigerian domestic airline Azman Air has ceased operations, it said on its website.
Nigerian media outlet The Guardian said the reason was due to ongoing C-checks on all of its 737 aircraft as well as the high cost of operations. Two aircraft had been sent to an MRO facility in Turkey, while another two were due for maintenance. Another aircraft's maintenance was near completion and is expected to return to Nigeria in October.
Staff were reportedly placed on leave without pay.
The airline's main hub is at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, Nigeria - serving the northern region of the country. The airline had scheduled charter flights to over 10 domestic destinations.
