AXIS flight simulation’s Level-D Bombardier Challenger CL350 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) has qualified for the Aviation Academy Austria on August 6, 2024.
The qualification marks AXIS Flight Simulation’s first Level-D CL350 FFS – it will be the first of its kind to operate in mainland Europe.
“Qualifying our first Level-D CL350 FFS demonstrates our commitment to providing innovative, first-class training solutions,” said Christian Theuermann, member of the executive board, AXIS Flight Simulation. “We plan to add an auto-throttle to enable the academy’s pilots to practice flying the new Bombardier Challenger 3500 aircraft, while using our CL350 FFS.”
The FFS is equipped with a Van Halteren motion system and RSi XT6 visual system, with a 200x45 field of view (FOV), as well as the Collins Pro Line 21 Advanced avionics system.
Michael Holy, managing director, Aviation Academy Austria added: “Our instructors all have practical experience on the aircraft type and can create real-life training scenarios which, thanks to the simulator’s numerous functions and high degree of realism, will set new standards in Challenger CL350 pilot training.”
The simulator is available for training and dry lease, extending flight training capabilities near Vienna.
