AWAS has agreed to place on long-term leases, two A330-300 widebody passenger aircraft with new customer Hong Kong Airlines. These A330s will be used by the airline for adding more destinations to its network currently covering over 30 major cities across the Asia Pacific region, including Gold Coast, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Sapporo, Bangkok, Bali and Okinawa. Both aircraft come from AWAS’ existing fleet.
Zhang Kui, President Hong Kong Airlines, says: “Celebrating our 10th anniversary of establishment in 2016, we plan to offer around 10 new destinations to satisfy the strong travel demand in the Asia Pacific region, striving to grow into an international airline in the years to come. To fulfil this goal, Hong Kong Airlines is extremely pleased to enter into this agreement to receive two A330-300 sisterships, customized to our exacting specifications. We are also very pleased to enter into a relationship with AWAS; their team worked very hard, listening to ensure all of our needs were met.”
