In partnership with High Ridge Aviation, AWAR has introduced the first annual Jane O'Callaghan Award.
The award is sponsored by High Ridge Aviation in memory of Jane O'Callaghan, a board director at the company.
Named in tribute to O'Callaghan’s legacy, the award recognises rising stars who exemplify the same determination, excellence, and passion that defined her career.
“Jane’s leadership and warmth inspired so many of us,” said Emily Wicker, president of AWAR.
“She believed deeply in empowering women to pursue leadership roles in aviation. This award honours her legacy by continuing that mission.”

“We are proud to help celebrate her legacy through this award, which recognises rising women whose talent and tenacity reflect Jane’s own spirit.”
O’Callaghan started her career in 1987 at GPA and spent much of her 30+ working years in the C suite of leading aircraft leasing companies.
She held senior commercial roles at many prominent businesses within the aircraft leasing sector, including GPA, GECAS, Pembroke Capital, Aircastle, ALAFCO and AMCK Aviation.
“She had a depth of experience across all facets of the aircraft leasing and finance business that is rare among men and women alike,” said High Ridge Aviation.
“Her grit and determination, coupled with her brilliance and kindness was unparalleled, making her a cherished figure in the aviation community.”
The inaugural award will be presented at the Advancing Women in Aviation Roundtable (AWAR) Annual Luncheon in Dublin during the aviation conference week in January 2026.
Industry professionals are invited to nominate a rising female star who they believe encapsulates the spirit of Jane.
AWAR is looking for women with approximately 5-15 years of experience who are independently-minded, determined, and fearless - someone who is already making an impact on the future of the aviation community and the industry.
