Aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) operator Avion Express, is searching for a CEO to spearhead its new Mexican ACMI airline. The company is preparing to expand into Mexico after beginning the process of obtaining an air operator certificate (AOC) in the country.
“As an ACMI operator, we help airlines add capacity when they need it most— especially during seasonal spikes or demand changes,” said Darius Kajokas, CEO of Avion Express. “We already have strong operations in Europe and recently secured an AOC in Brazil. Mexico is the next step. We’ve worked in this market before and see real potential for long-term success.”
Kajokas added: “As an initial step, we are launching the recruitment process for the CEO of Avion Express Mexico, who will be responsible for building the team, leading the certification of the Mexican AOC, and later running the business once it becomes operational.”
The company plans to secure the Mexican AOC within the next 24 months, while it currently focuses on building a local leadership team and has already begun recruiting a CEO for the planned Mexican ACMI startup airline, Avion Express Mexico.
