Avianca is all set to launch new routes connecting Bogota with Tegucigalpa and Cuzco, starting October 30, offering over 1,000 seats per week on each route.
The airline will operate eight weekly flights on the Bogotá-Cusco-Bogotá route, providing 1,400 seats weekly and three weekly round flights offering over 1,000 weekly seats on the Bogotá-Tegucigalpa route.
The Bogota-Palmerola segment will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while the return leg will be served on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Both routes will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft with a capacity for 180 passengers in a single-cabin layout offering three different seat options.
The airline offers flights on these routes where no carrier currently operates.
Commenting on the route's expansion, David Alemán, general director for Central America and South America, said: “We are thrilled to continue expanding our network, which now includes 144 routes to 24 countries and 71 destinations, adding direct flights for our customers to Tegucigalpa via Palmerola in Honduras and Cusco in Peru. Starting from October, there will be over 1,000 seats per week on each of these operations, allowing our customers to fly non-stop and with a product tailored to their needs.”
