US-based carrier Avelo Airlines opened its eighth base at Wilmington International Airport on April 3, 2025,
The launch of this base also coincides with the introduction of seven new routes to the airline's network. Additionally, Avelo announced the addition of Chicago O’Hare International Airport to its network, with a service from Tweed-New Haven Airport set to begin on May 15, 2025.
“We continue to fulfil our purpose to inspire travel with the opening of Avelo’s Wilmington base and growing our network in these popular markets,” said Andrew Levy, Avelo Airlines founder and CEO.
Avelo will operate these routes utilising its 737 fleet.
