Vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft developer Sirius Aviation has rebranded itself as Stellar Aircraft, the company said on January 7, 2025.
In addition, the Swiss company is transitioning to the US, officially becoming a Delaware-based company. The company said this move “positions us at the heart of the global aviation industry” where its key partners, clients, and suppliers operate.
The hydrogen-powered Sirius Jet — now rebranded to the Stellar Jet — has begun manufacturing on the same day.
“We have carefully selected a trusted contractor with proven expertise and ambitious vision to lead this crucial phase of development,” the company said in a statement.
A flying demonstrator of the Stellar Jet is expected to be revealed in June this year. Furthermore, the company will reveal the results of its performance validation tests for its proprietary hydrogen fuel tank in February 2025.
