Arkia Israel Airlines, Israel’s second largest airline after El-Al, is in talks to acquire a 30% stake in Montenegro Airlines. Milo Đukanović, the Montenegrin Prime Minister, and Predrag Nenezić, the minister for tourism, was in Israel last week to meet with Arkia’s CEO to offer the shares. El Al was also reported to have been interested in purchasing the stake in the Montenegrin airline. The preferred bidder will be announced in two weeks.
