Flybondi, Argentina’s largest cow-cost carrier, has acquired 10 aircraft and opened four new routes, ahead of a “record” season this summer.
The 10 aircraft, which include Airbus A320s and Boeing 737-800s, have been acquired on aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance (ACMI) terms.
Seven of these aircraft will be based in Buenos Aires, while the remainder will be based in Córdoba, Argentina’s second largest city and a growing regional hub for Flybondi.
The additional aircraft will allow Flybondi to make 15,000 flights this summer, with total passengers projected to reach 2.8 million – 56% more than during the same period last year.
Flybondi will increase its flights by 40% on the routes that it currently operates, and will incorporate four new international routes, namely Córdoba–Asunción, Córdoba–Puerto Iguazú, Córdoba–El Calafate, and Córdoba–Ushuaia.
This brings Flybondi’s total network to 32 routes, comprising 22 domestic routes and 10 international routes. Seven of the airline’s domestic routes bypass Buenos Aires.
In addition to its regular operations, the airline will also add more than 280 charter flights.
Starting in January 2026, flights to Brazil will be operated from Córdoba, Rosario, and Salta, and starting in November, the Buenos Aires–Ushuaia flights will resume for the Antarctic cruise season.
